Autoimmunity To a Virus Paralyzed Me in 2004
The nature of this ☢ Covid-19 Pandemic should be taken seriously and not lightly at all. This Crisis is extremely real!
I am a mom, a survivor with 4 children affected horrifically by an Autoimmune reaction to the Spinal cord in 2004 after the Sars virus passed by in 2003 in Ontario, (not sure if it was correlated), but my spinal cord was severely inflamed from an unidentified virus. I was diagnosed with ATM and a lesion formed in the Spinal Cord.
I reflect on 16 years of the damage, the absolute hardships, and the recovery. The aftermath is still in motion. A lot of trauma, to say the least.
I warrant people to take our PM Justin Trudeau seriously about keeping people physically apart for the safety of others. It is not an exaggeration but a major component to sustain other’s safety and keep the heavyweight off the system, off families and create a more sterile environment.
We can overcome this ☢ Pandemic by understanding the nature of such a rapidly spreading illness.☢
You cannot blanket the illness but you can be kind, careful and mindful to keep others safe by staying at home.
I’m used to being in the home and surviving isolation from being paralyzed from the neck down.
Rick Hansen and I have connected through my own disability, knowing what isolation is all about.
He has encouraged me to share my burden publically. Such high admiration for people like Rick, Mr. Trudeau and Ministers who have adhered to my story.
Please, I urge you to take heart in our communities across Canada and reflect the nature of this crisis and keep your distance.
